Dark Teff wholemeal flour is naturally gluten-free. The flour is milled from the millet seed of the teff grass family and is always wholemeal. Teff is rich in protein and fibre. It also contains calcium, magnesium and iron. The flour has an excellent amino acid composition. It has a nutty taste.
Gluten-free Dark Teff wholemeal flour is milled from the millet seed of the teff grass family and is always wholemeal. The small seeds of teff contain, among other things, lysine, a muscle-building substance.
Teff is rich in protein and fibre. In addition, it contains vegetable protein, calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc and vitamin B6. It has a nutty taste.
Teff is originally from Africa, but is now grown in countries such as Spain.
Teff is suitable for both savoury and sweet baking and cooking. Try it on sourdough bread, to thicken a sauce, in muffins or mocha squares. teff is also great in crust dough for Karelian pies, for example. Watch a video of easy Karelian pies here.
