On this page are the conditions under which we will supply you with gluten-free products that are featured in our online shop at https://www.virtasalmenviljatuote.fi.

Please read these terms and conditions carefully each time before ordering products from our shop.
By ordering products, you agree to these terms and conditions and undertake to comply with them. We reserve the right to change our delivery terms.

General information

Virtasalmen Viljatuote Oy manufactures and sells gluten-free mill products.

We sell our products in-store, online, through retailers and to corporate customers via direct delivery. These terms of delivery apply only to orders placed in the online shop. The Virtasalmen Viljatuote online store is located at https://www.virtasalmenviljatuote.fi. We sell our products through the online store only to private individuals of legal age and to companies in Finland.

Our online shop is hosted on an SSL-secured site.

Prices & Products

The prices and delivery costs of the products are indicated subject to VAT. VAT is charged at the current rate (the current VAT rate for food products is 14% as of 1.10.2017). The VAT breakdown of products and delivery costs is available in the shopping cart and order confirmation.

The prices in the online shop are valid until further notice. We reserve the right to change prices and delivery charges. These terms of delivery and prices are valid only in Finland. We reserve the right to cancel an order in case of clear price errors (e.g. price 0,00€)

Virtasalmen Viljatuote's products are gluten-free milled products. We do not manufacture, pack or resell products containing gluten. All our raw materials are naturally gluten-free, GMO-free, preservative-free, additive-free and we do not use wheat starch. Products should be stored away from light, in a dry and cool place.

To order

Virtasalmen Viljatuote's products and delivery method are ordered from the online store via the Internet.
The customer does not need to register with the online store to order products. By registering, you can track your order history and store your billing and delivery addresses in the online shop.

There is a minimum order value in our online shop. The value of the products included in the order must be at least 18 euros. Unfortunately, we are not able to deliver products for less than 18 euros due to storage and transport costs.

Ordering from the online shop:
1) Add the products you want to your shopping cart by pressing the "Add to cart" button next to the products. In the shopping cart, you can still change the order quantities of the products and delete products.
2) Choose the delivery method you want to use. (For more information on delivery methods, see "Delivery method")
3) Once your shopping cart and delivery method have been selected, press the "Checkout" button.
4) Enter your billing and delivery details (mandatory information is marked with *). If you are registered in our online shop, the program will automatically provide this information.
5) Read our terms and conditions at the latest now and tick the box "I have read and accept our terms and conditions"
6) Click on "Proceed to payment" and you will be able to choose the payment method you want to use (Read more about payment methods under "Payment method")
7) Once you have paid for your order, you will receive an order confirmation email.

Order confirmation

After you have paid for your order, you will receive an order confirmation by e-mail, which contains:
- The ordered products and their taxable prices
- The chosen delivery method and the related delivery time
- The total price of the order, tax-free and taxable
- Your contact details
- Contact details of Virtasalmen Viljatuote

You can print the order confirmation on paper or file it electronically. You will also receive a receipt for your purchase.

Once the order has been accepted, a notification will be sent to the webshop administrator and the order will be processed.
We aim to process orders within 1-3 working days of receipt, but we reserve the right to make exceptions.

NOTE! If you wish to cancel an order, please let us know immediately after placing the order by emailing info@virtasalmenviljatuote.fi. We usually process orders very quickly, so we avoid unnecessary shipping and handling costs.

Order cancellation

You can cancel the order before the payment is completed. In the online shop, you can go back by clicking on the "Go back" button in your browser. At the payment stage, you can interrupt the order by pressing the "Cancel" button or by going back. Our online shop offers the possibility to pay the suspended purchase even after this and the administrator will be informed about the suspended purchase. Remember to clear your browser history when using a public computer.

Order processing time

We always aim to deliver as quickly as possible.
We will process and dispatch your order within 1-3 working days, provided that all the products in your order are in stock. We will contact customers as soon as possible by e-mail or telephone if we find that the delivery time is longer than normal or if, exceptionally, the product is not available. We reserve the right not to accept an order.

During promotional periods, order processing times may be delayed due to high order volumes. We process orders on a first-come, first-served basis and aim to get your order to you as quickly as possible.

We will not be liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control or influence or otherwise generally considered to be force majeure.


Delivery method

The total amount of the products and the chosen delivery method will affect the delivery costs of the order. The e-commerce shopping cart will automatically update the shipping cost if the shipping method is changed or products are removed/added to the order. Delivery costs include packaging materials and handling of the shipment. We only ship to Finland via our Finnish-language online shop. Once the package has been delivered to Post or Postnord, we are not responsible for any disruption or delay in delivery.

Note! In the online shop, the exact delivery point is only selected after the "Checkout" button. You can still change the delivery method at this point.

Shipments are packed in boxes containing the products, protective paper and a shipping list/receipt. The box is taped with a piece of tape bearing the Virtasalmen Viljatuote logo. The box is topped with a package label.

The boxes come in four different sizes. We pack the order in a box according to the products.

2) 390 x 275 x 335 mm
3) 370 x 280 x 190 mm
4) 215 x 150 x 200 mm

- MATKAHUOLTO- from 2.9.2022

Matkahuolto will keep your shipments for 7 days. After this period, uncollected parcels will be returned to Virtasalmen Viljatuote at the sender's expense. We reserve the right to charge the customer for the shipping costs of the unclaimed package.

The maximum weight of a single Nearby package is 30 kg. The total weight of the products can be up to 28 kg in one package, as packaging materials must be taken into account. Orders over 28 kg will be sent packed in several boxes.

Home delivery - the maximum weight of a parcel is 35 kg. The total weight of the products may not exceed 33 kg in one package, as packaging materials must be taken into account. Orders over 33 kg will be sent packed in several boxes.

Nearby - Pick up from the nearest Matkahuolto service point or parcel machine.
Markahuolto has an extensive network of service points (over 2000) covering the whole of Finland. Service points and parcel machines are located in stores such as K-stores, S-stores, R-kioskis, Tokmanni, Lidl and Matkahuolto's own service points. By entering your delivery address details, our online shop offers you a selection of the 5 nearest locations, from which you can choose the pick-up point you want.

Please note that Matkahuolto's parcel machines cannot deliver multiple parcel shipments. We reserve the right to change the pick-up point for multi parcel deliveries from a Matkahuolto office to a parcel machine.

Nearby Parcel- the parcel will be delivered to the selected pick-up point within 1-3 working days of dispatch. Parcels are dispatched from Virtasalmen Viljatuote on the same day or within 3 working days at the latest.
You will be notified of the arrival of the parcel by SMS or e-mail, after which the parcel can be collected from the location indicated in the arrival notification. If the pick-up is from a parcel machine, you will receive a PIN code for the locker with the arrival notification. You can track the progress of your parcel with the delivery code on Matkahuolto's website matkahuolto.fi. You will receive the dispatch code by e-mail when the order has been receipted and dispatched.
To collect your parcel, you will need a dispatch code and proof of identity. You do not need a letter of authorization if you are picking up a shipment on behalf of someone else.

Home delivery - Matkahuolto home delivery.
The Matkahuolto home delivery service delivers your parcel to the delivery address of your choice. Before delivery, Matkahuolto will send you a pre-notification to agree on the delivery date and time window. The advance notice will be sent by SMS or email. The parcel will be delivered against receipt. If the parcel cannot be delivered to the customer, it will be returned to the sender after 14 days.

- POSTNORD -

Postnord keeps your items for 7 days
. After this period, uncollected parcels will be returned to Virtasalmen Viljatuote at the sender's expense. We reserve the right to charge the customer for the shipping costs of the uncollected package.

The maximum weight of a single Collect package is 30 kg. The total weight of the products can be up to 28 kg in one package, as packaging materials must be taken into account. Orders over 28 kg will be sent packed in several boxes.

The maximum weight of a Home package is 35 kg. The total weight of the products can be up to 33 kg in one package, because the packaging materials have to be taken into account. Orders over 33 kg will be sent packed in several boxes.

MyPack Collect - Pick up from the nearest Postnord branch or parcel machine.
Postnord has an extensive network of service points (over 1600) covering the whole of Finland. Service points and parcel machines are located in shops, R-kioskis, Tokmanni and Matkahuolto. By entering your delivery address details, our online shop offers you a selection of the 5 nearest points of sale, from which you can choose your preferred pick-up point.
MyPack Collect - your parcel will be delivered to your chosen pick-up point within 2-6 working days of dispatch. Parcels are dispatched from Virtasalmen Viljatuote on the same day or within 2 working days at the latest.
You will be notified of the arrival of the parcel by SMS or e-mail, after which the parcel can be collected from the location indicated in the notification of arrival. If the pick-up is from a parcel machine, you will receive a PIN code for the locker with the arrival notification. You can track the progress of your parcel with the delivery code on the Postnord website https://www.postnord.fi/asiakaspalvelu/sahkoinen-asiointi/lahetysten-seuranta. You will receive the delivery code by e-mail when the order has been receipted and dispatched.
You can collect the parcel against identification or authorise another person to collect the parcel. In this case, please fill in the authorisation form.

MyPack Home - Postnord home delivery.
Postnord home delivery service delivers your parcel to your preferred delivery address. Prior to delivery, Postnord will send a pre-notification to agree on the delivery date and time window. The advance notice will be sent by SMS or email. The parcel will be delivered against receipt. If the parcel is handed over to someone else, there must be a power of attorney. If the parcel cannot be delivered to the customer, it will be returned to the sender after 14 days.

- POST OFFICE -

The Post Office will only keep your items for 7 days. After this period, uncollected parcels will be returned to Virtasalmen Viljatuote at the sender's expense. We reserve the right to charge the customer for the shipping costs of the uncollected package.

The maximum weight of a single parcel is 25 kg. The total weight of the products can be up to 23 kg in one package, as packaging materials must be taken into account. Orders over 23 kg will be sent packed in several boxes.

Pick-up from the nearest Post Office.
The Post Office service point network is the most comprehensive parcel service network in Finland. The service points are located in connection with several shops and in their own branches. By entering your delivery address information, our online shop offers you a selection of the 5 nearest points of delivery, from which you can choose your preferred pick-up point.
Your parcel will be delivered to the selected pick-up point within 1-3 working days of dispatch. Parcels are dispatched from Virtasalmen Viljatuote on the same day or within 2 working days at the latest.
You will be notified of the arrival of the parcel by SMS or letter, after which the parcel can be collected from the location indicated in the arrival notification. You can track the progress of your parcel using the delivery code on the Post website www.posti.fi. You will receive the delivery code by e-mail once the order has been receipted and dispatched.
You can collect the parcel against identification or authorise another person to collect the parcel. In this case, please fill in the authorisation form.

Pick-up from a Post Office parcel machine.
Post Office parcel machines are self-service points where you can pick up your parcel against a delivery code. Parcel machines are usually located in shopping centres and large stores. By entering your delivery address, our online shop will provide you with the details of the 5 nearest parcel terminals, from which you can choose the one you prefer.
Your parcel will be delivered to the selected terminal within 1-3 working days of dispatch. Parcels will be dispatched from Virtasalmen Viljatuote on the same day or within 2 working days at the latest.
NOTE! You will receive a notification of the parcel to be picked up by SMS, including the locker code. The locker code will not be sent by e-mail, so a telephone number is mandatory at the order stage. You can track the progress of your parcel with the delivery code on the Postal Service website www.posti.fi. You will receive the delivery code by e-mail once the order has been receipted and dispatched.

Postal home delivery.
The Postal home delivery service delivers your parcel to the delivery address of your choice. Before delivery, you will be contacted by Posti to arrange a delivery time. If the parcel cannot be delivered to its destination, it will be transported to the nearest Posti branch and the customer will receive a notice of arrival in the mailbox. The parcel can be collected, together with proof of identity, from the Post office indicated on the arrival notification. Orders over 25 kg are delivered packed in several boxes.


Payment method

Products and their delivery costs including tax are paid at the time of order.

The payment service is provided by Paytrail Oyj (2122839-7) in cooperation with Finnish banks and credit institutions. Paytrail Oyj appears as the recipient of the payment on the bank statement or card bill and forwards the payment to the merchant. Paytrail Oyj is a licensed payment institution. In case of complaints, please contact the supplier of the product in the first instance.

Payment with online banking

The Paytrail payment service will forward your payment to Virtasalmen Viljatuotes. You can use the payment buttons of all Finnish banks, i.e. you can pay with the payment buttons of Nordea, Osuuspankki, Säästöpankki, POP-pankki, Danske Bank, Handelsbanken, S-bank, Ålandsbanken and LähiTapiola Bank. Paytrail Oyj is shown as the payee on the statement.

Payment by credit card

You can pay online with Visa, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, MasterCard and Debit MasterCard. Card payments are made securely using Nets' SSL-secured payment form. Neither the online shop nor Paytra has access to the card details and no payment card details are stored in our systems. The online shop uses international Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode authentication services.

Virtasalmen Viljatuote's online store uses Paytrailmaksu's payment brokerage service for card payments. The online shop acts as a marketer of products and services and as a supplier of products to the customer. The online store takes care of the legal obligations related to the transaction and other obligations it determines itself. Paytrail appears as the recipient of the payment on the card invoice and forwards the payment card payment made by the customer directly to Virtasalmen Viljatuote.

Payment by mobile payment methods

Mobile payment methods Pivo, MobilePay and Masterpass are in-app services that allow you to pay for online purchases by credit transfer from your account or by card payment from your card by accepting a payment in that app. Pivo also supports Transfer payments, allowing you to accept a payment in any of the applications that support Transfer.

Payment by invoice

You can pay for purchases over 50€ with an OP Bill. You have 30 days to pay your bill and you can decide whether you want to pay it in full or split it up. You can choose OP Bill if you are over 20 years old. At the checkout stage, you will be redirected to the OP service and then the system will redirect you. Right of return

The customer has a 14-day right of return for distance selling under the Finnish Consumer Protection Act. The right of return applies only to unused and saleable products in their original packaging. As this is a food product, we cannot accept opened packages. The return period starts on receipt of the goods. The customer is responsible for the return costs.

Please contact us by phone or email before returning your parcel so that we can arrange how to send it to you.

Please include the following information with your return:
- Your name, address, phone number
- A copy of the delivery note/receipt
- An informal notice of cancellation of the contract

We do not accept returns more than 14 days after receipt of the goods. Once a return has been accepted, the money will be refunded to the payment method you used after the return has been received and processed.

Claims

Shipment broken
Check the shipment as soon as you receive it. If you notice any external signs of breakage, please inform the customer service agent at the collection point (Post Office or Postnord branch/receiving point) and us at tel. +358 208 348 000 or info@virtasalmenviljatuote.fi. The customer service agent will make a damage report and the parcel should not be redeemed. If you do redeem the parcel, please check the condition of the products again when you open the parcel. If it appears at this point that the products have broken down in transit, please let us know. We would appreciate a picture with the report if you can send one.

Defective product
If we have delivered an incorrect or defective product, you should report this immediately to info@virtasalmenviljatuote.fi or by telephone on +358 208 348 000 (weekdays 9-15). You must report an incorrect delivery or defective product within 14 days of receiving the product.
