  • Bottom
  • Whisk the eggs and sugar.
  • Add the cooled butter and buttermilk.
  • Mix the dry ingredients together and add to the foam.
  • Bake at 150'c for about 15min or until cooked.
  • Cool the base (don't let the base get cold enough for the top to grip the base well). If the bottom gets cold enough, the top will come off as a slab).
  • Frost the pie and decorate as you wish.
  • Top cover
  • In a teflon saucepan, melt the toffee candies and cream (over low heat, stirring constantly).
  • When you have melted all the silverware, remove the pot from the heat and let it cool.
  • Pour the mixture into a baking dish and mix all the topping ingredients (including icing sugar) into the silver toffee-cream mixture.The mixture should be quite thick.
  • Frost the base.
  • Decorate as you wish.
