Gluten-free chocolate chunky bars are a vegan snack that keeps hunger at bay! The bars are a great snack for a busy day.

Ingredients

Preparation

  • Mix the oat flakes, buckwheat flakes, pecans, chia seeds, salt and cinnamon in a bowl. Mix with tahini, maple syrup and vanilla in another bowl. Pour the dry ingredients into the tahini mixture and mix until smooth.
  • Line a square/rectangular dish with baking paper and press the mixture firmly into the dish. Place in the fridge for a couple of hours to set. Once the mixture has set, cut it into bars. Melt the chocolate in the microwave and decorate the bars with it. Place in the fridge to allow the chocolate to set.
  • Gluten-free chocolate chunky bars are a great snack for a busy day.

  1. Many good recipes that appeal to me use "pure oats", gluten-free oats. It doesn't work for me, because I'm grain-free, for all Finnish grains. My question is: what can be substituted for oats? For example, these bars would be a good snack/refreshment.
    Thanks for the advice

    1. Hi Kristiina!

In these bars, oat flakes can be replaced with gluten-free buckwheat flakes, for example. So instead of 1 dl, measure 4 ½ dl of gluten-free buckwheat flakes into the mixture and leave out the oat flakes completely. Other flakes will also work!

  2. Hi
