Virtasalmi's grain product Gluten Free Buckwheat Bran is rich in fibre (9.3%) and very high in protein (40%). The bran can be used in a variety of baking applications, such as in bread dough. You can also add it to yoghurt, smoothies and fresh porridge. The cereal product buckwheat bran is the gluten-free product of the year 2010 (chosen by the Coeliac Society). In the packet you will find instructions for a buckwheat slice.

Buckwheat is a complete source of protein, containing essential amino acids and vitamins B1 and B2. Buckwheat seeds contain lysine amino acid and organically bound calcium, iron, potassium, magnesium, silicium and fluorine. Read more about buckwheat here.

Naturally gluten-free, buckwheat is ideal for people with coeliac disease. Being edible and easily digestible, buckwheat is also gentle on the stomach.

The buckwheat bran of the cereal product is free of additives or preservatives. In addition, the buckwheat we use is GMO-free.
