65 g milk dough
65 g butter
n. 1 dl Virtasalmen Viljatuote's gluten-free all-purpose flour mix
0,25 tsp baking powder
- Stuffing
200-250 g ham in strips
a piece of bell pepper in strips
a piece of leek, sliced
(piece of chilli pepper)
2-3 eggs
2 dl milk or light cream
1 pss (150 g) grated cheese
black pepper
thyme
Preparation
- Mix the soft butter and quark until smooth.
- Mix together the baking powder and flour mix and add to the mixture.
- Press the base dough into the bottom and sides of the greased pie pan.
- Put the casserole in the fridge while you prepare the filling.
- Chop the ham, peppers and leeks.
- Freeze the leeks in a frying pan.
- Mix the eggs, spices and some of the grated cheese into the liquid.
- Spread the ham, peppers and leeks in the baking dish. Pour the egg, milk and cheese mixture on top.
- Sprinkle the rest of the cheese on top.
- Bake at 200°C on the bottom shelf of the oven for about 30 minutes.
Can you use yellow onion instead of leek ?
Hi Jyrki,
The yellow onion adds a slightly different flavour to the pie, but I think it's also delicious! So you can replace the leek with a regular onion.
