hourA luscious gluten-free date cake is easy to make. Allow it to rest in the fridge for a few days. This recipe will do the trick!
Ingredients
3 dl water
2 dl sugar
1 pkt (250 g) dates
200 g butter
2 eggs
1tspbaking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tl vanilla sugar
Preparation
- Boil the water, sugar and date into a puree over low heat for about 30 minutes.
- Add the butter to the warm puree.
- When the butter has melted, whisk in the eggs one by one.
- Mix the baking soda, baking powder and psyllium into the flour and add the flour mix to the dough, beating gently.
- Pour the dough into a greased and floured (e.g. Virtasalmen Viljatuote's Gluten Free wholegrain brown rice flour or Almond Flour) cake tin.
- Bake at 175 degrees for about 1 hour.
Tip
- Gluten-free date cake is at its best after a few days in the fridge.
