minutesThese wonderfully crispy gluten-free French baguettes are a mouthful. You make them with Virtasalmen Viljatuote's Gluten-free all-purpose flour mix.
Ingredients
3,5 dl water
8 g dry yeast
2 tsp olive oil
1tspsalt
1 tsp sugar
350 g Virtasalmen Viljatuote's gluten-free all-purpose flour mix
- For lubrication
1 tsp water
1 tsp olive oil
Preparation
- Pour the warm (42°C) water into a large bowl.
- Dissolve the yeast in the liquid.
- Add the olive oil, salt, sugar and flour mix.
- Knead the dough by hand or with a machine until it is smooth. (The dough may be a little sticky, but that's okay.)
- Let rise under a cloth for 30 minutes.
- Pour the dough onto the floured surface.
- Divide the dough into two parts and shape the dough into baguettes using flour.
- Place the baguettes on a baking sheet and leave to rise for another 30 minutes under a cloth.
- Preheat the oven to 250 degrees.
- Before putting the baguettes in the oven, grease them with a mixture of water and olive oil.
- Bake for 25 minutes until the surface is nicely browned.
- Gluten-free French baguettes are at their best when fresh. Fill the baguettes with your favourite toppings and enjoy!

I cannot use dry yeast. How much baking flour should I use instead of dry yeast?
