minutesGluten-free apple galette is the perfect choice even at the cottage! The pie does not require a pan, but the shape is achieved by folding the edges slightly over the toppings.
Ingredients
- Bottom:
195 g (approx. 3 dl) Virtasalmen Viljatuote's gluten-free all-purpose flour mix
2 rkl sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
0,5 tl salt
90 g dairy-free margarine
1-2 tbsp cold water
- Filling:
200 g (approx. 4 small) apples
3 tbsp maple syrup
0,5 tsp cinnamon
0,5 tsp cardamom
a pinch of salt
for lubrication: 2 tbsp maple syrup
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 200°C. Mix together the dry ingredients.
- Fold in the margarine and add water until the dough is firm.
- Thinly slice the apples and mix in the syrup and spices.
- Roll the dough into a large thin disc. Place the apples on top of the pie, leaving about 2 cm of space around the edges. Fold the edges towards the centre and spread with syrup.
- Bake for 20 min.
- Serve with a gluten-free apple galette ice cream.
