Serve a delicious gluten-free apple crumble with custard or ice cream! This treat is delicious at any time of the year. And the preparation couldn't be easier.

  • Peel and chop the apples. Place the apples, brown sugar and cinnamon in a small greased baking dish and toss to combine.
  • Melt the margarine and mix the ingredients together. Sprinkle evenly over the apples. Bake at 200°C for about 20-30 minutes. Allow to set for a moment before serving.
  • Enjoy the gluten-free apple crumble with custard or ice cream.

    But now I ask as I am grain free, all grains out, even oats although gluten free. That oats seem to be everywhere now. The flour with oats on it stays on the shelf in the store. The choices are narrowing.
    I need a tip, what to replace oats with, what object in this recipe replaces oats ???

    1. Hi Kristiina!
      Thank you for your comment. You can substitute oats with buckwheat, for example. We have both buckwheat bran and crushed buckwheat groats in our range, which could be suitable as a substitute for oats here. Buckwheat has a stronger flavour than oats, so I recommend testing the recipe with a slightly smaller amount of buckwheat than in the original recipe. This is only if you are not familiar with buckwheat. 🙂
