Virtasalmi's Gluten-Free Finnish Pellavarro Wheat is an excellent source of fibre and good fats. It also contains important minerals and trace elements. Flax is one of the oldest crops in the world and has been grown in Finland since the 1500s. Although interest in growing flax waned over time, the 1990s saw a resurgence, largely thanks to new varieties.

Due to the oily nature of flax, we recommend storing open packages in plastic or glass jars. If you store the meal in a container without a bag, we recommend using a glass container.
