Ingredients
1 dl dark syrup
1 dl sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
2tspginger
1tspbitter orange peel powder
1tspcloves
0,5tspallspice
0,5 tl salt
100 g butter
2 eggs
1tspbaking soda
- Pikeri
2 egg white
5-6 dl icing sugar
(1-2 tsp vanilla extract or lemon extract)
Preparation
- Bring the syrup, sugar and spices to the boil in a saucepan.
- Melt the butter into the slightly cooled mixture and then add the eggs.
- Combine the flour with the soda and add to the dough.
- Put the gingerbread dough in a tight bowl and let it harden in the fridge overnight.
- On a floured surface, roll out the dough into a thin sheet and use a cookie cutter to make cookies.
- Bake at 200 degrees for 5-7 minutes.
- Pikeri
- Using a hand mixer or an electric mixer, mix the ingredients well. Add the icing sugar until the icing does not spread. Put a small amount, for example with a spoon onto a baking sheet or the back of your hand to check. For filling the exact lines, a mixture that does not spread at all is best, while for filling the whole biscuit, a mixture that spreads slightly on the baking paper is best.
- Transfer the minigrip to the bag and cut just a small hole in the corner. The seam of the Minigrip/Purser bag will leave a slight imperfection in the extrusion, so use a small round blunt if you want perfectly round lines.
Hi, I can't find the recipe for the tarts.
I wonder if there's a recipe for twice as many cookies?
Hi Ulla,
This will take you directly to the recipe for gluten-free Christmas cakes.
Hi, how many cookies does this recipe make?
Hi Anne!
The amount of piping depends on the moulds you use and how thin you roll the dough. For example, with a basic sized heart mould and a slightly thicker dough, you will get about 30-50 cookies.
I've been using this recipe for a couple of years now. Now I put 0.5dl of allspice in the poppy seed, although I should have put 0.5tl. Well a little sugar added to fortify the flavour ha good ones came out.
Did you use the light flour mix called for in the recipe or the bun flour mix as the link directs?
Hello,
Sorry for the delay in replying! The recipe uses a light flour blend. Also works with Bun Flour Mix 🙂 🙂 Sorry for the delay!
