What could be more delightful than the smell of freshly baked cardamom aromatic buns and the fact that you can get the treat ready in no time, suit yourself! Gluten-free instant buns are the answer!

Ingredients

  • 2 dl Virtasalmen Viljatuote's gluten-free sorghum flour mix

  • 0,75 dl table or cane sugar

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1 tl vanilla sugar

  • 0,5 tbsp cardamom

  • 1 egg

  • 1 dl milk

  • 50 g melted butter or margarine

  • Surface of
  • Pearl sugar, butter, vanilla sugar, berries, almond flakes or crushed almond

Preparation

  • Mix the dry ingredients together and add the egg, milk and melted fat.
  • Spoon the batter into sturdy muffin tins. Sprinkle the top with pearl sugar or other baking decorations. Bake in a medium oven at 225°C for about 12 to 17 minutes.

Tip

  • If you wish, you can bake the bun in a baking pan, in which case the baking temperature is lowered to 200°C and the baking time is about 20 to 25 minutes.

  1. He liked it a lot. I put some frozen blueberries on top, I meant to put almond meal on the other one, but forgot 😅. I would have made some butter eye buns for my husband, but he thought they were fine without added sugar, since he has diabetes. I liked them both, 6 of them came out when I added a bit of flour. Otherwise, the dough seemed pretty loose.
