  1. You should be careful, as most sugar sprinkles contain gluten. If you can't find gluten-free sugar sprinkles in your local supermarket, you can decorate your mocha squares with chocolate sauce, coconut flakes, gluten-free coarse or hazelnut flakes. 🙂

      1. What cocoa powder was used in the recipe? Is there 1 1/2 dl of dark, sugar-free cocoa in the base?

        1. Hi Missu!
The recipe uses dark sugar-free cocoa e.g. VanHouten or similar. The cocoa powder in the base is 1½ dl, it gives a nice flavour to the base. If you want, you can reduce the amount of cocoa powder a little, to make the base lighter. 🙂

    1. Hi Marita,
This pattern is suitable for a large baking tray approx. 42 x 32 cm.
      Greetings.

    1. Hello!

You can reduce the amount of sugar slightly if you wish. The easiest and best way to make this recipe work is to try replacing the white sugar with, for example, the healthier coconut sugar. Hope this helps!

  2. The American pancakes were really really good but this is icy paste and I have a baking tray of this😭 I'm going to feed the guests 😀

    1. Hello,

Sounds extraordinary! If the mocha squares were too dense, it's usually due to overmixing of the dry ingredients in the dough when adding the egg and sugar foam. Glad to hear that the American pancakes turned out perfectly though 🙂
