minutesGluten-free salmon roll cake is a delight on the serving table. You can adapt the filling to your taste or try the smoked salmon filling in the recipe. The base bakes quickly, so you can easily make several at once and refrigerate them to serve.
Ingredients
- Bottom
50 g butter
2 dl cream
2,5 dl milk
1 dl Virtasalmen Viljatuote Gluten-free bulgur bean flour mixture
0,5tspbaking powder
0,5 tsp lemon pepper
3 eggs
- Stuffing
200 g cream cheese e.g. chives
150 g cold or warm smoked salmon
1 garlic clove
1 dl chopped dill
0,5 dl chopped chives
0,5 tsp lemon pepper
Preparation
- Melt the butter in a saucepan. Add the cream and milk. Combine the baking powder with the flour. Add the flour to the pan, stirring vigorously. Separate the whites and yolks from the eggs. Add the yolks to the saucepan. Add the lemon pepper and simmer the mixture for 5 minutes, stirring. Whisk the egg whites until frothy. Add the egg whites, gently lifting them into the mixture.
- Spread the mixture on a baking sheet on a baking paper to form a disk.
- Bake the base at 200°C for about 20 minutes.
- Mix the ingredients for the filling and spread over the base.
- Wrap the warm crust in a roll like a roll cake and put it in the fridge for a while. If you want to frost the salmon tart you will need another can of cream cheese. Add some spices and spread on top of the cake before serving.
- Serve the gluten-free salmon tart in slices.
