The full-bodied gluten-free cheese polenta is a tasty side dish for meat or fish. The polenta is also easy to shape to your liking.

Preparation

  • Put the water and cream in a coated saucepan. Add salt and bring to the boil. Add the corn grits to the boiling water and cream mix, stirring with a whisk.
  • When the mixture starts to boil, lower the heat and cover the pot with a lid. Simmer for about 20 minutes, until the polenta is cooked. Stir occasionally to prevent the mixture from sticking to the bottom.
  • Add the butter, grated cheese and black pepper. Stir.
  • Serve gluten-free cheese polenta as a side dish with meat or fish.

Tip

  • Pour the polenta into a rectangular baking dish. Cover with cling film and leave to cool for a while.
    Cut the polenta into squares or use a mould to make patterns. Fry the pieces in butter in a pan just before serving.
